7 ways to save on cleaning
1. Use MicroFiber Wipes
2. Buy Concentrates 3. Reduce your cleaning supplies 4. Follow directions 5. Let the products work 6. Clean regularly 7. Clean messes immediately 1.Use MicroFiber Wipes Use dry: Microfibers actually attract grease, dirt particles, lint and dust. They are perfect for dusting, dry mopping the floor, wiping mirrors, countertops, car interiors and exteriors televisions and other electronic equipment, etc. Allsclean’smicrofiber wipes replace dust and dry mops and are far more economical than paper towels. A microfiber in your car has more uses than that smelly chamois and is far more effective and useful.
Use wet: Allsclean’s microfibers absorb 7 times their weight in water, making it perfect for cleaning spills and wiping countertops and other surfaces. Use a microfiber to wash your floor. Because a wipe absorbs water better than a mop, you have to adjust your approach to washing the floor. Simply spray a cleaning solution on the floor or mop head. The mop should be damp, not wet and mop clean.
HINT: You can attach a microfiber easily to a store purchase swivel mop. Look for the type that has a slit/button on the backside of the mop, where you push in the wipe to hold it in place.
To clean a microfiber wipe, simply rinse it and leave it. Microfibers are machine washable. After a few uses, toss it in the washing machine. You can have a fresh mop pad every time you clean! Allsclean’s microfiber wipes can be cleaned hundreds of times without losing their effectiveness.
2. Buy Concentrates
Many cleaning supplies purchased in the supermarket are ready to use. You pay an exorbitant premium for the convenience. Many commercial grade cleaners, such as those sold by Allsclean, are concentrates. Our best selling environmentally friendly Family Pack starter kit, Ecogent, for example, makes the equivalent of 120 store purchased bottles. The savings are substantial. Ecogent costs an average of .25 cents per 11-ounce bottle. An all-purpose cleaner in the store will cost $3.99. One bottle of Ecogent saves you more than $440! (Ecogent cost $29.99; if you purchased the same amount of products in a store, you would spend $478.80 (120 bottles multiplied by $3.99)) 3. Reduce Your Cleaning Supplies
A quick look under your kitchen sink will reveal a host of specialty cleaners. Each one is designed for a specific purpose. One may be for glass, another for kitchen counters, while another may be for the bathroom. Wouldn’t it be nice if one cleaner did many of those jobs? We found two that did--- Speedball and Ecogent. Both will clean your floors, countertops, carpets, windows and more. These all-purpose cleaners have been proven effective worldwide. Save yourself time and money with one product that does multiple jobs!
When Speedball or Ecogent is combined with our best selling disinfectant, Morning Mist, you have a hospital-tested one-two punch to keep your house clean and healthy.
4. Follow Directions The best way to clean a difficult job is to follow the directions provided by the manufacturer. If the directions tell you to add one ounce per one gallon of water, add one ounce. The notion that a big mess requires you to add more cleaning solution is simply not true. In fact, that extra amount may actually result in a bigger mess. The manufacturer tests all of our products rigorously. The goal in testing is to find the right chemical balance of water and solution to optimize cleaning. A cleaning product needs to attract the dirt, and then remove the dirt by suspending it in water. Too little or too much product changes this balance, resulting in dirt left behind. The same notion holds true for disinfectants. Adding more disinfectant to a solution won’t kill more germs. It will only kill your budget. 5. Let the Products Work
Read the product label. Follow the manufacturers recommendations when applying the product. If the manufacturer suggests waiting before wiping, wait. The product may need time to work its action. Wipe it up too soon and the dirt may remain, forcing you to repeat the process. A “do over” not only increases your cost, it doubles your work time. Letting the product work is especially important in stain removal. Don’t expect miracles when the directions are not followed. 6. Clean Regularly
Keep a microfiber wipe and a cleaner in a spray bottle handy. If the products are easily accessible, you (and hopefully other family members) will use it more often. It takes only a few minutes to spray wash a countertop or a bathroom sink or shower after use. Generally, most of us don’t bother because we’re too lazy to go get the cleaning supplies. Make them accessible and get into the habit of a quick clean after use. Regular cleaning is especially important for flooring. Consider this: the more expensive the flooring, the more expensive it will be to repair. Dirt will eventually work itself into the finish of a floor. Once dirt breaks through the finish, the floor will only deteriorate faster, resulting in a more expensive repair job. Regular cleaning adds to the life of the floor. Urine is particularly troublesome on floors. When left dirty, it may eventually eat away the finish and soak into the floor. Pay attention to urine and other spills on carpets where the liquid has seeped into the padding. If left untreated, the spill may not only cause the padding to rot and smell, but ruin the finish on the floor. 7. Clean a Mess Immediately A mess that isn’t cleaned immediately often results in a stain. The longer that a mess remains, the harder it will be to clean. Save yourself time and money by cleaning up after an accident immediately. Product links
